It is late June and will soon be the July 4th weekend that usually kicks off out high traffic months and it doesn't let up until November, which typically has about the same amount of website traffic as July. We had more page views in May of this year than we did the previous year and June is going to be the same.
I didn't grow very much but Creoles and a few bulbs of Dugansky. The crop was good overall with Rose de Lautrec and Germinador leading the way in size and quality. The Burgundy produced a lot of side cloves due to late season rains and is big but ugly. Ajo Rojo and Creole Red were of good size and configuration.

Thanks for sharing all your garlic knowledge. I like your straightforward style. It is really helped us get off on the right foot and off to a good start. Plan on planting a good amount for the first time this Fall.

hi i was hoping someone may be able to shed light on a growing issue i am having.....i started out with healthy well formed bulbs as my first planting.......two years ago when i planted my garlic in the fall everything went fine and they came up as usual. when i went to harvest my bulbs though ....quite a few of the bulbs ended up being made up of just two cloves. when i researched on the net i found very little info on this and the only thing i did find said it had something to do with the garlic not getting cold enough to divide properly, so of course as usual when i went to plant in the fall again from all my bulbs i chose the biggest and healthiest cloves and quite a few of the biggest were of course in these two clove bulbs :) thinking it was an environmental issue i didn't think i would get a repeat this year when i harvested. as "luck" lol would have it i did end up with a fair number of two clove bulbs, not as many as the previous year but still quite a few. reflecting back i probably should have plotted out on a map which rows i put them in but i didn't think i was going to get a repeat.......
