The Antibiotic Apocalypse is Inevitable and How To Survive it With Garlic
Since bacteria have evolved or mutated new receptors, whichever term you are comfortable with, that simple mutation changed the chemical signature of the receptor and so commercial antibiotics can no longer form a chemical bond with it because commercial antibiotics are manufactured to be able to bond to specific bonding sites for particular chemicals that no longer exist in the newer strains of bacteria and that is said to cause ANTIBIOTIC RESISTANCE but it ONLY APPLIES TO MANUFACTURED ANTIBIOTICS. Garlic and some other natural antimicrobials are immune to it and still kill all bacteria on contact, no matter how resistant those bacteria have become to pharmaceutical antibiotics. These include garlic, oregano oil, honey and tea tree oil, among others.
If these things are so effective, why don't doctors use them? Very simply, The US FDA does not allow doctors to recommend products that are not approved in advance through their treatment protocols or they will be denied any liability coverage and if anything goes wrong, they are on their own without the protection of the FDA. Few doctors are willing to do that. Only patented products that maximize profits for the pharmaceutical industry are allowed to be included while natural things are excluded and scorned. Patient health and welfare are secondary to corporate profits and I don't see any changes coming to that policy, no matter how many millions of people are negatively affected. After all, corporate profits lead to the payment of "influence" to government officials, both elected and appointed, to allow the corporate "wisdom" to prevail. Only money talks; all else walks. It has become the reality of modern governance.
Accordingly, antibiotic resistance can only get worse until there is no longer any defense against it available to doctors or the public. Representatives of the petrochemical pharmaceutical industry have ststed on multiple occasions that they have no desire to make inexpensive medications that are only used for short periods of time but prefer to make medicines that people must take all the rest of their lives. Of course, this implies they will not be cured but made into permanent, suffering addicts. Many drug dealers have gone to prison for doing this, why are these people exempt from the same law?
It seems obvious that if people are going to have any chance to defend themselves and their families from this tragic travesty, they are going to have to look beyond the limitations of the present system and learn how to use nature all over again to protect themselves from this man-made scourge we are all facing. This entire problem was completely avoidable but made into reality by the unlimited greed of some people and the lack of understanding on the part of other people.
I wish to educate people about exactly how and why the allicin in garlic does the things it does and bacteria are helpless before it. Understanding is the key but so few people these days want to trouble themselves to learn, mostly, I think, because we have been conditioned to just pop a pill and everything will be OK. That paradigm is rapidly dying as far as bacterial infections are concerned. A whole new learning process has to be implemented by the people themselves or they will perish.
It's not a game anymore, it's life or death. Learn and innovate or die. The same-ole', same-ole' is dying on the vine as will those who do not learn how to face the coming reality. The rich may be able to afford the bacteriophage therapy but it is slow and time-consuming because the phages must be custom built for each individual so it's not available to the masses or for instant use like antibiotics were before resistance set in. It's a whole new world and it's full of unrealized hazards.
