Welcome to our Gardener's Marketplace

We're trying something new here and I hope everyone who participates benefits from it.

In the past we have bought from growers and paid shipping charges and marked up the garlic and sold it to our customers all over the USA. This resulted in higher prices and a bottleneck in getting garlic from growers to customers. We and some of our growers have decided to set up a gardener's marketplace on our website where they could sell directly to the public with us acting as a cashier of convenience allowing customers to use credit/debit cards to buy from growers who otherwise would not be able to accept cards themselves.

The 2010 Crop Will Begin Shipping in Mid-Summer!

Order Now With Your Credit Card and get First Choice at Shipping Time.

Ordering now is just as easy as it always has been...

Just visit our Online Catalog page where the available varieties are sorted into mild, medium and hot/strong groups
and a few special Assortment Packs

or

our Varieties Page, where the available cultivars are listed by varietal type.

On either page you can click on the name of any garlic and get a picture and/or a detailed description of that variety and several shopping cart buttons you can click on to buy from different growers.

Each button you click on will take you to the webpage of a different grower of the garlic you have selected.

When you have looked at them all, choose the one you want to buy from and place your order online at their webpage using your credit card.

You can buy from as many gardeners as you want to but each grower needs to be a separate credit card transaction, just like at your local farmers market.

Just select how many pounds you want of which varieties from one grower and check out on before you leave that grower's webpage.

When you buy from other growers our system will remember your name, address and other details so you won't have to re-enter them all again so buying from a second gardener will be easier and faster than from the first one.

All our growers live sustainably and grow sustainably, some are Certified Organic, some are Certified Naturally Grown or other sustainability verification organizations. None would even consider using any harsh agricultural chemicals - it's what they believe and the way they live. I have bought lots of garlic from every one of them and that's how I know their garlic is great garlic. It's the garlic that has given me such a great reputation over the years and now you can buy direct from them.ow .

The 2010 Crop Will Begin Shipping in Mid-August for most varieties.

The prices range from $16 to $18 per pound plus shipping and handling charges of $8 for the first pound and $2 extra for each additional pound and we ship via U. S. Postal Service, Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation, to make sure you get your package.

Please feel free to e-mail me or call me if you have any questions or comments. E-mail bob@web-access.net
or call at (325) 348-3049.

Important notes for credit/debit card users:

This Gardener's marketplace is like your local farmer's market.
When using your credit/debit card to buy direct from different gardeners, a separate order is required for each gardener. You may buy as many different kinds of garlic as you want from any gardener on any order but each grower requires a separate order. If you want to order garlic from more than one grower, a seperate order must be placed with each gardener.

If you buy from a gardener and later cancel that order and buy from a different gardener, the credit card processing gateway still charges Gourmet Garlic Gardens the full processing fee plus an additional fee for processing the cancellation and also it places an additional clerical burden on us so, regretably, we must charge a 10% cancellation fee when processing the cancellation because that's about what it costs us. My advice is to look around among the various market gardeners and decide what to buy from whom and then place your orders, one grower at a time and stick with the gardeners you have chosen.

If you would like to try a little garlic from several different gardeners, you can order a sampler assortment and request particular garlics from specific growers. Click here to check out our sampler Assortments.
